Aussie Actress, Jackie Weaver has scored an Oscar nomination for her role in the little film that could, Animal Kingdom.
During an interview with the LA Times, Weaver was interrupted by the films director David Michod, who was at home in Australia. Congratulations were pouring in this morning as the news hit for the long time celebrated Aussie icon.
She was not the only Aussie to score a nom for the Oscars... Geoffrey Rush's The Kings Speech actually leads the pack with the most nominations, and Nicole Kidman scored one for her movie Rabbit Hole.
It seems that the Australian invasion of Hollywood continues.
The Oscars will be held in LA on Feb 27 (USA Time).
